How to Record a Program on WCG Connect TV

Learn how to save your favourite shows and never miss a moment with WCG Connect TV’s easy-to-use recording features.

With WCG Connect TV, recording your favourite shows and movies is quick and convenient. Whether you want to record a single episode or an entire series, our Cloud DVR lets you do it all with just a few clicks.

This guide walks you through the simple steps to record live TV, manage your saved programs, and get the most out of your Cloud DVR.

 

How to Access Your Recordings

You can access your saved and scheduled recordings at any time in two easy ways:

  • Using your WCG Connect TV remote: Press the “DVR” button on your remote to jump directly to your recordings library.
  • From the WCG Connect TV Main Screen: Navigate to the circle profile icon in the right corner. Click it to open and view your saved and scheduled recordings.

Once you're there, you’ll see a list of all your scheduled and completed recordings, sorted by show title or date.

 

   

  

Ways to Record

1. Record from the Guide

    1. Select (press “OK”) on an ongoing or upcoming program from the live TV guide.
    2. Select the Record button on the program menu
    3. Choose to record the episode or the full series
    4. Your selection will be saved to your Recordings library

   

2. Record from a Channel - Already watching something on live TV and want to record?

    1. On the live TV channel, click the “OK” button to bring up the live TV options
    2. Using the arrows on your remote, scroll down and left to the record option
    3. Press “OK” on the Record button while watching
    4. Choose to record just this episode or the full series
    5. Your recording will be in your recordings library

 

Managing Your Recordings

Go to your Recordings section by pressing the “DVR” button on your remote. From here you can now:

    • Watch, delete, or check what’s coming up for recordings
    • View your Series recordings (grouped for easier access)
    • Use filters to find shows quickly

 

 

How Much Can I Record?

    • Record up to 6 programs at the same time
    • Store up to 350 hours of recorded content in your Cloud DVR
      • Note: All WCG Connect TV boxes come with 150 hours. Contact our Customer Service team to add more storage.
    • Access your recordings from any WCG Connect TV Boxes

 

Need to Cancel a Recording?

To cancel a scheduled recording:

    • Open the Guide or Recordings section
    • Highlight the scheduled/recording program
    • Once the program has opened, move right and click “Cancel”

You will receive a confirmation message on screen that the recording has been cancelled.

Additional Notes

  • WCG Connect TV requires a WCG Connect Internet subscription. 
  • Features like Restart and Replay are available only on select channels.
  • Select GO Apps available for download on your streaming entertainment service.
