Set Up Profiles on WCG Connect TV

Create a personalized profile so you can get show suggestions and keep preferences tailored just for you. This article will walk you through how to create a new profile from your set-top box or app.

Why Create a Profile?

With WCG Connect TV, each person in your household can enjoy their own customized experience:

  • See recommendations based on what you watch
  • Resume shows from where you left off

You can switch between profiles at any time.

  

How to Create a New Profile

NOTE: You will already have one profile created during your initial setup of your WCG Connect TV services. These instructions explain how to create additional profiles beyond that first one.

  1. Go to the Main Screen
    • Press the WCG Connect TV Main Menu button on your remote to access the main menu.
  2. Click on Settings icon
    • This is on the right side of the menu; click the gear icon, accessible from the main navigation bar.
    • You will then see a list of profiles under “Who’s Watching?”
  3. Scroll down to “Manage Profiles”
    • On the settings menu, scroll down and click “manage profiles”. This will bring you to a new screen.
  4. Click “+ Add New Profile”
    • Press “OK” on the first “+ New Profile” option. 
  5. Enter the New Profile Name
    • Press “OK” to bring up the on-screen keyboard. Enter a name for the new profile (e.g. “Grandma,” “David,” “Kids”).
  6. Assign a Profile Icon
    • Scroll down and choose an icon or image that represents the profile.
  7. Save Your Profile
    • Once everything looks good, select “Save”. The profile will now appear in your list of available profiles. 

To change profiles, select the desired profile from the “Who’s Watching” section in the settings menu. 

    

 

How Many Profiles Can I Create?

  • WCG Connect TV allows up to 5 profiles per account.
    • You will receive a message if you have reached your limit.

 

Switching Between Profiles

To switch profiles, return to the WCG Connect TV main menu, select the settings icon. Then under “Who’s watching?” select the profile you wish to use.
