Connecting Westman Tour
Our Tour
The Connecting Westman Tour grills up donations for your community all summer long. Through the power of hotdogs and smokies, we raise money for important causes. Our charity barbecues have raised over $78,000 for local initiatives selected by our members.
Here’s How It Works:
Every summer, we select communities to receive support from The Connecting Westman Tour. We then poll our members for the cause they’d like to see supported. With the BBQ packed, we host a charity barbecue lunch in each community. Efforts are made to buy all supplies from local businesses at each stop. Attendees receive a hotdog, smokie, chips, and drink with donation-based pricing. Once we wrap our last smokie, WCG counts the donations and matches the total. Attendees receive a great lunch knowing that they’re helping an important community cause.

Shoal Lake BBQ Recap
Our third stop on the 2025 Connecting Westman Tour brought us to Shoal Lake, where the community came together for an afternoon of food, fun, and giving back. Thanks to your generosity, we raised over $3,700 for the Shoal Lake Kids Club, including a matched donation from WCG.
It was a pleasure to connect with so many friendly faces and see the community in action. Thank you, Shoal Lake, for making this a great stop!

Deloraine BBQ Recap
Thank you, Deloraine! Our June 19 BBQ at the Co-op Home Centre brought the community together for good food and a great cause. With your support, we raised $4,161 for the Deloraine Food Cupboard, including a matched donation from WCG.
We’re grateful for everyone who came out, shared a meal, and contributed to the cause. This stop was one to remember!

Rivers BBQ Recap
The 2025 Connecting Westman Tour kicked off in Rivers with our first community BBQ of the season. Held on May 29, the event raised $4,095 for the Riverdale Early Learning Academy, with WCG matching all donations.
From smokies on the grill to great conversations with local residents, it was a strong start to this year’s tour. Thank you, Rivers, for the support and turnout!
2024 Connecting Westman Tour
The 2024 Connecting Westman Tour was our most successful run to date! We collaborated with residents to collect donations on behalf of local causes. After matched donations from WCG, we raised over $26,500 (that’s a lot of hotdogs!). The Connecting Westman Tour visited four communities in 2024: Boissevain, Dauphin, Gladstone, and Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes.
