Your WCG Statement Explained

From account numbers to service details, this guide helps you read and understand your WCG statement with confidence.

Most of us glance at our statement, check the amount, and move on. But if you’ve ever found yourself wondering “What am I actually paying for?”, we’re here to help. Whether it’s your first WCG bill or you just want to understand it better, this guide walks through your statement in plain language

What’s on the First Page of Your WCG Statement?

The first page of your statement gives you a summary of everything important in one spot.

Here's what it includes:

  1. Your Account Details
    • Subscriber Name and Account Number
Located at the top right of the page. This is your unique 15-digit number and is important when calling WCG or making payments at your bank.
    • Service Address
This shows the physical address where your WCG services are active.

2. Important Notices

Look to the left-hand column for any WCG Notices. This section includes important information that may apply to your account or service(s).

You might see:

    • Changes to pricing or plan details
    • Upcoming service adjustments (like mail delivery interruptions)
    • Helpful reminders or seasonal tips
    • Promotions or local events WCG is involved in

TIP: Always scan this section to stay up to date on changes that may affect your bill or service experience.

3. Account Summary

Look to the right-hand column for your account summary. This section gives a quick glance at your balance and charges for the current billing period.

Here’s what you’ll see:

    1. Previous Balance
The total amount carried over from your last bill, if any.
    2. Payments
Any payments we’ve received since your last statement. If you paid in full, this amount will match the previous balance and bring your account to zero.
    3. Current Charges by Service
      This shows:

                    I.        Digital TV

                   II.        Internet

                  III.        Phone

📌 Note: You’ll only see the services that apply to you. For example, if you don’t have WCG Home Phone, that line will not appear on your statement summary.

D.   Taxes
Both PST (Provincial Sales Tax) and GST (Goods and Services Tax) are shown as separate amounts.

E.    Total Due and Due Date
This is the full amount you owe for the month, including taxes, and when it must be paid. If you’re set up for pre-authorized payments, the amount will be withdrawn automatically by the due date.

What’s on the Second Page?

This page shows the full details of your charges. Each service is grouped into a section: TV, Internet, and Phone.

Let’s look at what you might see in each section:

NOTE: Each service you’re subscribed to will have its own section. If you don’t have a particular service, like Home Phone, you won’t see it listed.

Digital TV

If you subscribe to WCG TV, here’s what to expect in this section:

  • Your TV Plan
You’ll see the name of your current package, such as Home Choice, which is our top-tier option with a wide selection of channels.
  • Set-Top Box Rentals
If you’re renting a TV receiver (also called a set-top box), the monthly rental charge will appear here. Some homes have more than one box, so you may see multiple charges.
  • Pay-Per-View & Add-On Channels
If you ordered a movie, special event, or added a channel bundle (like sports or international channels), those will be listed here too.

Internet

The Internet section shows the full details of your plan and any extras.

  • Your Internet Plan
You’ll see the plan name listed (for example, Connect 450), which reflects your download speed and overall internet package.
  • Wi-Fi Add-On
Wi-Fi service is an optional add-on, so if you’ve chosen Connect Wi-Fi protector, that fee will be shown separately.
  • Modem or Router Rental
If you’re renting WCG equipment to connect to the internet, like a modem or router, that rental charge will also appear here.
  • Discounts or Credits
You may see a line like Service Discount, which is a credit applied to your account. This could come from a bundle discount, a member loyalty offer, or promotion.

Home Phone

Only visible if you subscribe to WCG Home Phone.

  • Your Plan
Most customers have a bundled plan like Home Phone Bundled, which gives a reduced rate when you combine WCG services.
  • Long Distance
If you’ve added long-distance minutes those additional charges will appear here.

Taxes

  • PST and GST (Provincial Sales Tax and Goods & Services Tax) are added to the total of your monthly charges and appear near the bottom of the page.
