WCG Connecting Westman Tour Raises over $3700 for the Shoal Lake Kids Club
Westman Communications Group (WCG) continued the Connecting Westman Tour in Shoal Lake on July 24, 2025. A total of $3,746.50 was raised, with all proceeds going to the Shoal Lake Kids Club. This total includes a matched donation from WCG, significantly boosting the club's efforts to enhance existing programs and support the development of the Shoal Lake Kids Club, and a planned expansion to help provide high-quality childcare and early learning opportunities for young local families.
The Connecting Westman Tour is a unique, community-focused initiative where WCG hosts charity barbecue lunches throughout the summer. Hot dogs, smokies, chips, and drinks are offered with donation-based pricing, and 100 percent of the proceeds go directly to a nominated local charity. WCG matches the total amount raised, amplifying the community’s support for its own causes.
“Our third stop on the 2025 Connecting Westman Tour continued the strong momentum from our previous events, bringing even more engagement from the community and we hope this energy continues on to our final stop in Virden.” said WCG Marketing Manager Brandi Crowe. “It was fantastic to see such strong support from the Shoal Lake community for this important cause. We’re proud to play a role in creating meaningful fundraising opportunities and are excited to keep the momentum going.”
The Connecting Westman Tour is just one of the many ways WCG actively engages with the communities it serves, demonstrating its commitment not just as a service provider but as a dedicated community partner. The final stop of the Connecting Westman Tour will be in Virden on August 28, 2025.
